On May 9, the Chinese Embassy in Nepal issued a reminder to Chinese nationals in Nepal to avoid traveling to the Nepal-India border area in the near future. This advisory comes as tensions between India and Pakistan escalate, prompting the Nepalese government to tighten security along the Nepal-India border.
In recent days, Nepal’s Armed Police Force has significantly increased border patrols, set up additional checkpoints, and intensified inspections. Joint patrols with Indian border forces have also been initiated. On the Indian side, control and inspections have been similarly heightened in sensitive border regions.
In light of these developments, the Chinese Embassy in Nepal urges Chinese nationals to refrain from visiting the Nepal-India border areas to avoid accidentally crossing into Indian territory.
