In April, China’s exports in U.S. dollar terms increased by 8.1% year-on-year, exceeding the forecasted growth of 2.0%. Imports in April, also measured in U.S. dollars, fell by 0.2% year-on-year, which was better than the expected 6.0% decline. China’s trade surplus for the month reached $96.18 billion, surpassing the projected surplus of $93.9 billion.
